About Course
This course is designed to give students a comprehensive study of the course offered in Ontario high school curriculum. The course emphasizes on common areas where students tend to struggle understanding, and includes many questions frequently asked in the classes.
Characteristics of Functions
Functions, Function Notation, Domain and Range, Transformation of Functions, Parent Functions, Inverse Functions, Intervals of Increase and Decrease, Quadratic Functions and Factoring, Quadratic Formula, Converting from Standard Form to Vertex Form, Simplifying Radicals, Simplifying Rational Functions.
Exponential Functions
Exponent Laws, Graphing Exponential Equations, Applications of Exponential Equations.
Trigonometric Functions
CAST, Special Triangles, Solving Trig Equations, Reciprocal Trig Functions, Ambiguous Case, Periodic Functions, Trig Identities.
Discrete Functions
Arithmetic Sequences, Geometric Sequences, Recursion Formulas, Arithmetic Series, Geometric Series, Pascal’s Triangle and the Binomial Expansion, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, and Annuities.
