About Course
About the IB
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a global leader in international education—developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people. Our programs empower school-aged students to take ownership of their own learning and help them develop future-ready skills to make a difference and thrive in a world that changes fast.
Students learn how to learn
Throughout all IB programs, students develop approaches to learning skills and the attributes of the IB learner profile. The IB learner is positively challenged to think critically and to learn in a flexible environment crossing disciplinary, cultural, and national boundaries.
IB students take responsibility for their own learning and understand how knowledge itself is constructed, underpinned by our unique theory of knowledge (TOK) course.
Our tutoring helps IB students:
ask challenging questions
think critically
learn across disciplines
develop research skills proven to help them in higher education.
we also encourage students to be active in their communities and to take their learning beyond academic study.
About the AP
Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level courses offered in high school. They allow students to study 38 subjects in-depth and prepare them for college-level work. Most US universities recognize AP credit as college credit. Students who receive passing scores on these tests can earn college credit ¹³. AP courses give you the experience of an introductory level college or university class while you’re in high school. You might also get post-secondary credit for the class if you pass the AP exam and if it meets your post-secondary institution’s admission requirements ².
