Waterloo Euclid Mathematics Competition (Grade 12)

About Course

The Waterloo Mathematics Competition, developed by the Centre for Mathematics and Computational Education (CEMC) at the University of Waterloo, also known as the Canadian Mathematics Competition, includes a series of competitions for students in grades 7 to 12, each level named after a mathematician, the Euclid Mathematics Competition, named after the ancient Greek mathematician Euclid of Alexandria (330 – 275 B.C.), known as the “father of geometry,” is open to Grade 12 (final year high school students) or CÉGEP students and motivated students in the lower grades.

The competition is divided into 10 questions, some of which are difficult, some of which require a complete solution, most of which go beyond the requirements of the high school syllabus. 150 minutes are required to provide an answer and a complete solution, and the total score is 100 points.
