About Course

ESL-The English as a Second Language (ESL) program is offered to students by experienced instructors to improve their English language skills. Students can enroll in part time or full time ESL programs. 13 levels are offered to student, which will ensure students to be placed into an appropriate level. Upon arrival, students shall take an assessment test that is used to place students in their appropriate English class. Classes are kept to a maximum of 10 students ensuring students receive one-on-aattention from the teacher. ESL program is offered throughout the entire year with a continuous intake of students.

ESL3-A:

Able to understand 1-2 paragraphs of listening or reading materials related to daily life with the appropriate help of diagrams. Have a certain grasp of basic grammatical structure and tense. Can use simple sentence logic to express certain content clearly, and express more fully under the prompts of teachers.

Adaptation year: Grade 7 to Grade 9 Peer IELTS level: 4.5

ESL3-B:

Able to understand a simple 2-paragraph text and relate to daily life. Can complete some simple listening or reading comprehension tasks。 Further master common vocabulary, distinguish parts of speech and other abilities.

Adaptation year: Grade 7 to Grade 9 Peer IELTS level: 4.5

ESL3-C:

Able to communicate on daily topics. Can understand about 2 paragraphs of text, with mainly declarative or descriptive language. Can infer new words appropriately based on some spelling rules and part of speech knowledge that have been mastered. Can write about 1 paragraph of simple writing on familiar topics.
